Whenever you hear the term lavalier being used to describe a microphone, chances are that there is no room for messing with design too much. Performance

Performance is what it really all comes down to. Aitesco's Lavalier mic offers some decent stats which are comforting even if before you plug the thing in for a test run. We have a frequency response range that goes from 50Hz to 16kHz. As some of you might notice, that's pretty narrow compared to other, full size models. However, keep in mind that the diaphragm inside this thing is very tiny. Thanks to its omnidirectional pattern, you can count on picking up audio in the entire room. Noise filtering is great all things considered. Again, smaller condensers are all about recording human voice. This is particularly the case with Aitesco's Lavalier. The result is a fairly balanced recording that has plenty of range. Recording acoustic guitars or other acoustic instruments is possible, but leads you straight to unknown waters. It's questionable how efficient this thing would be in that scenario.

Aitesco has proven to be one of the more reliable choices for anyone looking for a decent lavalier microphone. There are probably numerous better choices out there, but not at this price.
