If you are serious about your guitar pedals, allow us to introduce the Gator G-Tour to you, quite possibly the best pedalboard out there. Strong, reliable, durable, this product is pro-level material and something you can see many renowned musicians using these days.

From practicality to effectiveness, there's not a whole lot of things we can list as subpar here. Add a fair price to the mix, and you really get one of the finest products of this niche. Anyhow, we gave G-Tour a test run, our conclusions patiently await below.

Gator G-Tour-4

Body

The product is crafted from plywood fabricated with aluminum valance. The lower part of the casing is entirely removable from the lid, making it easy to install and pack the board in a matter of seconds. So the exterior is strong and sturdy, but it's on the inside that this pedalboard really shines thanks to its pro-grade shock-absorbing EVA foam interior that keeps every pedal perfectly in place and perfectly safe. Feels nice to touch, too!

In total, the board's surface sums up to 24 x 11 inches of space, which is enough for housing 12 standard stomp-boxes, with enough room to even store longer pedals such as wah-wah.

Overall, this is one of those strong pieces you see pros use, and we couldn't be happier about the overall construction and size. As for additional info, the item weighs in at 12 pounds and has a height of 3.5 inches.

Gator G-Tour-2

Hardware

We're dealing with heavy-duty Gator signature hardware here, which is quality stuff. The price also includes a 3M dual lock fastener for pedal installation, along with a retractable tow handle and in-line wheels to make the transport even easier. The casing also includes a signature Gator Cases heavy-duty spring loaded red rubber grip handles and a set of chunky recessed butterfly latches.

Additionally, separate compartments are provided for cables and the power adapter, which is always handy. Speaking of which, the item doesn’t NOT come with any cables or power supplies included. Would be nice if they were, but it's not a rare case a rare case at all that they aren't.

Value/Conclusion

As already noted, this is a professional piece of equipment! Everything about the pedalboard is top-level, and we can't really think of many pedalboards of this price range that offer a better bang for the buck. The price is certainly in the higher registry and higher than many of the items we have singled out as our favorites, but it delivers the finest quality we can think of.

Finally, one of the things we like the most about this fella is how well and conveniently it gets packed. You can pack a load of devices, cables and adapters inside, and it will all sum up into a nice box for you to take on the road. And whenever you need to use that whole bunch, all you have to do is lift that lid and plug it up. This pedalboard means serious business, and we thoroughly recommend it. Neat stuff!

Great case but not for me. The pedal board itself sits flat which means if you use a power supply you will have to mou t on the board taking up valuable space. Plus if you use larger pedals like whammy’s or wah pedals they will take up a lot of room. The large size is only 11″ x 22″ which is too small for my needs. Got this as a gift but am returning because it is unusable for me.
