PRS’ Custom 24 is widely regarded as one of the finest guitars in the high-end market, ever since its original release in 1985, with a slight downside; it was hard to come by for average guitarists due to its intimidating price tag. However, that has changed now with their latest release of the Custom 24, toning down on some of its features while keeping its tone quality and authenticity intact. PRS have created yet another masterpiece, this time accessible at a relatively lower price, depending on how much you’ve set to spend on your instrument.

Body & Neck

The Custom 24 stays true to its classy design and elegance, this time in a grey and black color scheme. The body is crafted by mahagony and features an asymmetric beveled top, complementing its attractiveness. Its mahagony neck has a scale of 25”, hosting its “pattern regular” rosewood fingerboard rigged with 24 frets and PRS S2 Birds inlays.

Hardware

This work of art is finished off by its stylish headstock equipped with six PRS S2 hi-quality locking tuners. The bridge slot hosts and abides a tremolo system, setting it apart from the rest of the S2 line which most frequently comes rigged with tune-o-matics.

Electronics

This six-string wonder packs remarkable tonal versatility due to its pickup combination; PRS Custom S2 Treble near the bridge, and a PRS Custom S2 near the neck – both humbuckers.
